ONLINE REGISTRATION: www.ucscrecreation.com Set up your account ahead of time at www.ucscrecreation.com. Online registration for UCSC students begins Tuesday, April 6 at 9:00 AM. What if I am not a UCSC Student? back to top UCSC Staff, Faculty, Alumni and Santa Cruz residents may register beginning Wednesday, April 7th. If you do not have a Wellness Card and the activity you register for is located in the East Fieldhouse complex, you will need to purchase a day pass each time you enter the facility. Cost is $5.00 for UCSC staff & faculty, $7.00 for general public. Passes are available to purchase in packets of ten. For more info on Wellness Cards call 459-2531. Refund Policy back to top No refund will be given unless an activity is cancelled. If an activity is cancelled you will need to fill out a refund form at the Recreation Office before the last Friday of the academic year. A university check will be mailed to you in approximately 2 weeks. If you paid by credit card, we can refund your credit card. Payment for a cancelled activity may be transferable to another activity. No refunds will be given when an outing itinerary is changed. Evacuation Policy back to top Should you need to be evacuated (whether due to injury, illness or any other physical or emotional reason), you will be resonsible for the costs. Waiver Requirement back to top The UCSC Recreation Office is committed to safety and strives to minimize any inherent risks, but assumes no liability for any injuries or damages arising from our activities. All participants must sign waivers which release UCSC Recreation and the University from responsibility for their personal safety. Insurance Disclaimer back to top Recreation does not provide insurance for Recreation particiation. We strongly encourage all participants, including non-students, to make certain they have proper insurance coverage. Waiting List back to top Want to be in an activity that just filled up? Go to our website at www.ucscrecreation.com and go to the activity you are interested in. If the class is full, you can click on “Waiting List” to add your name. If someone wants to sell their spot, you will be notified by phone or e-mail. Response to buy these spots is first-come, first-served. We also have a buy and sell bulletin board located outside our office. If you have any questions, call us at the Recreation Office, 459-2806. You may sell your spot to any student with a current UCSC ID, or to any valid Wellness Card holder. You can post an announcement on our Forum (note left side of Home Page) notifying students you want to sell a trip, class, workshop, come to the Recreation Office or call (459-2806) and we’ll give you names and phone numbers from the waiting list (see Refund Policy). Please tell the buyer to notify us so we can add their name to the roster. Want to sell your spot? back to top You may sell your spot to someone else. If the activity you are registered for is full, call or come by the Recreation Office to see if there is a waiting list. When you sell your spot, please notify us by e-mail at info@ucscrecreation.com with the name of the activity, your name, and the buyers name and e-mail. The buyer should also call or e-mail the Recreation Office to confirm. Please note: Holistic Health & Surfing Class spaces are not transferable after the specific activity begins. |
