OUR LEADERS

Our leaders have extensive experience, both personally and professionally, in the activities they lead.  In addition to technical ability, our leaders possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable them to pass on their enthusiasm and respect for the environment to trip participants.  They are always looking for teaching opportunities so that participants go home with increased knowledge.  Our leaders are flexible in unpredictable circumstances and prepared in case of emergency, being certified in First Aid and CPR.  Most of all, they are positive and fun-loving people who desire and strive to enhance each participant's experience.

ADVENTURE  OUTINGS "STRENUOSITY" SCALE

We have made it easier to identify how strenuous the outing is that you are choosing.  This scale measures physical demand, not skill level needed.  All outings are appropriate for the first time beginner unless otherwise noted.  Those outings that have no scale number are appropriate for people of any and all fitness levels.  Look beside the name of the outing being offered for one of the following numbers:

1 Have fun! Go for it!
2 Outing is a calf burn. It is  slightly strenuous and requires no prior physical conditioning.
3 Outing has some physically demanding aspects.  Expect to sweat, perhaps be challenged and be rewarded.
4 Outing is a real pump.  You may lack the particular skill of the outing, but you will need to be in good physical condition and be prepared to be challenged.
